Zillertal Nature Park – a fairy-tale
A little spot on the planet well worth seeing
‘Austria’s Nature Park of the year 2015’ extends from Ginzling to the Hochfeiler. The area has received awards in nature conservation, tourism, education, regional development and communication. The nice thing about it – Zillertal Nature Park is our home. How nice that Pension Jakober is an ideal springboard into this breath-taking natural landscape. Explore, experience, be inspired. Enjoy the lovely, pure Alpine style!
Zillertal Nature Park in the high mountains spans 379 km², from 1000 metres altitude right up to 3509 metres. The area encompasses all the formative altitude levels of the Central Alps and, depending on the location and geological make-up, provides a habitat for a variety of plants and animals. Along with natural factors, people too have had a considerable influence on today’s natural and cultural landscape. Their way of life and farming practices are evident in the landscape, epitomising the charm of the variety-filled mountain landscape in the Alps, and its romantic perception.

The superb nature park landscape is not just worth exploring, it palpably nourishes joie de vivre too. On foot, by mountain bike, from the air or in the water. Numerous leisure activities are available, promising an experience of nature for all the senses.
